After an MRI for headaches and neck pain, a Neurology team informed my wife and I that they found a 7.3 cm malignant grade 3 cancerous tumor compressing into the right frontal lobe of my brain.  The team's immediate decision to operate gave us less than minutes to think about what lifestyle lay ahead for us and our two young children, Violet (3.5 yrs) and Elias (1 yr). Unable to work, we are faced with the dilemma of traveling for chemotherapy and radiation treatment to St. Louis' Barnes-Jewish Hospital for 6 weeks to battle this disease now and for the rest of my life. As we attempt to cherish a semblence of family life, we have created a personal charity fund to help pay for expenses of travel, overnight hotels, medications, utilities, mortgage, and food for our family to not only stay together, but also strong in our most trying of times.
