Blake's Medical (Eye Loss) and Attorney Expenses

On October 15th, 2022, my brother Blake was brutally assaulted by two Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Police Officers. He was on duty as a security guard when officer Rodriguez and his partner arrived at the scene. (Full names were not disclosed). According to multiple witnesses, Blake was conversing with an establishment customer when the officers got out of their vehicle and proceeded to ambush him with no probable cause. No name, source of identification, or justification for arrest was asked for before immediately slamming his head into a glass window.

Prior to this incident, Blake was recovering from a ruptured right eye and finally showing signs of his sight returning. After being slammed into the window, Blake attempted to let the officers know about the current condition of his eye to no avail. While on the ground, Officer Rodriguez repeatedly struck him in the head with his firearm, punched him in the face, pressed his gun into the back of his head, continuously slammed his head into the concrete, and stomped on his head. All while his partner held Blake down.

Due to this incident, Blake sustained multiple injuries, including a dislocated shoulder, several hematomas around his head, and, worst of all, the sight improvement in his right eye has now deteriorated. Doctors say the eye must be cosmetically removed, and a prosthetic eye should be inserted.

We are asking for public help with an attorney and medical expenses.

Blake is an all-around family man and one of the most incredible people to be around. Very loving and caring of others. Expecting a beautiful baby girl with his long-time girlfriend in less than a month, he was at work trying to provide for his family, and this tragic incident happened. Please help us spread the word and get justice in light of this tragic incident.
