Blake's Memorial: Playground Fund
Donation protected
Blake Wesley Buckner had a gift when it came to children. They were naturally drawn to his wild imagination and contagious laughter. He could calm a crying baby in a matter of minutes then turn around and teach a ten year old how to perfectly execute a skateboard trick. No matter the age, Blake was always able to make them feel loved and important.
Blake’s battle with addiction ended August 2, 2016, in spite of his efforts and the efforts of those around him. Blake was working hard to overcome his past and draw closer to the Lord. He surrendered his life to Jesus just a few weeks before his death and had been attending Aurora Missionary Baptist Church.
Our goal is to fully fund a playground for Aurora Missionary Baptist Church in memory of my brother. The vision for this playground is that it may serve as a bridge between the church and the surrounding community. We wish to start showing more of the love of God the same way Blake did, by loving the children. If we can love the children of this community, it won’t be long until we get to love their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. It is a simple step in the right direction, so we invite you to be a part of what God is doing.
Aurora Missionary Baptist Church is located in an area of Alabama greatly affected by addiction. They are determined to be the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone with no hidden agenda. Let’s help equip this church to be light and love to those around them.

I will forever be proud to be Blake's sister and of the legacy this playground will commemorate.
-Bree Buckner
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Matthew 18:2-5
