Blanton Elementary needs a Fresh Coat of Paint!

Hello,

My name is Garrett Smith, and I am the father of a 5th grader who attends Blanton Elementary (Arlington, Texas). His school falls under Title 1, which means that at least 40% of the kids come from low income housing (Blanton is closer to 80%!). Why is this important? Answer: Lower income schools frequently receive less attention/funding than their prosperous counterparts.

The administration has been very good to my son, Elijah, who has special needs. My family, along with other Blanton parents, would like to give something back. With this in mind, a number of school rooms are in need of new paint. This GoFundMe is directed towards this end: We need $350 for paint and supplies. We will do the work ourselves.
