BLAQK: A BLACK TRANS FILM

hi :)

this is my first crowdfund for a film of mine.

BLAQK is a documentary that will speak to the intersectional experience of Black Trans existence in life and Portland, Oregon —

It will touch on themes of desirability, navigating transness within Black community and vice versa and more!

the overarch is to honor Black Trans journeys in its rawness and fluidity.

the hope is to deter from giving a monolithic narrative to Black Trans identity; since we ain’t all the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ we just got some of the same intersections is all. —

I am calling on community because there are 12 Black Trans stories to carry and I would like to:

1) pay them for sharing vulnerabilities with this world

2) help fund the additional materials/resources/equipment needed to do right by their stories, visually!
