Bless the Barbers - Family of 6 in DESPERATE NEED

Hi, my name is Kelly and I'm fundraising on behalf of an NC family in DESPERATE NEED who is very near and dear to my heart. They are up against a deadline.

The Husband/Father was diagnosed with a rare lung disorder in February 2022 which has prevented him from continuing his work indefinitely (former Machine Operator). Among her caretaker and household duties, the Wife/Mother also works full-time as a delivery driver for Instacart, Door Dash, and Uber Eats. There are four precious children aged 5-10, three girls and one boy.

The current single-wide trailer they have been renting for the past year has been determined to be uninhabitable due to multiple portions of the floor caving in and mold (caused by ongoing leaks in the pipes). The property management company has asked them to vacate with plans to crush and dispose of the trailer. The management company is offering to put them into another trailer located on the same piece of property, however, their monthly rent will DOUBLE.

The Barber Family has barely been able to make ends meet (shelter/electricity/food) for the past 11 months, even with financial aid from family and friends. They now have approximately 30 days to vacate and find alternate housing. The fundraising goal amount has been set to allow for moving expenses + 12 months' rent - to be pre-paid at the signing of a residential lease.
