Blessing Bags -4- LA Homeless Women

Imagine being a woman waking up every morning on the streets of Los Angeles. You have nothing! You have nothing for personal hygiene like toothpaste, deodorant and feminine products. You don’t have the basic comforts like just a pair of socks. Think about questioning where your next bottle of water will come from. How does this all make you feel? Now feel what it’s like to give these items to a woman in need. Feel better?! A group of women have come to together and realized that these items are a blessing. We see what a contribution we can make by giving the gift of a bag filled with these items to bring comfort and joy.

Our mission is to have every homeless woman feel loved, cherished and unforgotten. We have met with homeless women’s shelters and compiled a list of the most important things desperately needed. By donating towards blessing bags you are creating a beautiful generous gift. Our goal is to receive donations and/or these compiled bags by 5/1 in order to gift them to The Dowtown Woman's Shelter, and The Jenesse Center by this Mother’s day, 5/7.

There are over 13,000 Homeless Woman living on the streets of Los Angeles. Each blessing bag is a $25 donation and includes the following:

A rollerbag, backpack or tote bag filled with the following items:

***Critical items
Chapstick
Deodorant
Feminine napkins
Socks
Toothpaste
Toothbrush
Hand sanitizer
Hats
Refillable water bottles
Healthy snacks (i.e. clementines, soft fuit cereal bars/protein bars ect.)

***Additional items much appricated:
Nail polish
Makeup
Medium/large drawstring pajama bottoms
