Cancer Took Half of My Tongue

Donation protected
I would much rather give and bless others, but I have been encouraged to set this site up for friends who have expressed an interest in helping me financially during my cancer treatment.

(Follow my story at http://notwhatyouhadplanned.blogspot.com )

On Monday, September 30, 2013, I had to have nearly 1/2 of my tongue (the left side) and half of the lymph nodes in my neck removed. This was an aggressive surgery, my 12th. Sadly They didn't get it all and even more had to be removed on October 3rd, followed by a partial tongue reconstruction from my forearm and thigh tissue along with veins and arteries.

After three recent surgeries and 11-nights in Virginia Mason Hospital, 7-weeks of radiation and chemotherapy will follow. A "PEG" feeding tube was inserted into my abdomen as radiation makes it difficult to impossible to eat or drink during later treatment. Speech therapy will follow, helping me to learn to speak again so that I can eventually return to my work.

This ordeal is affecting me financially and this site is being setup to allow my friends to donate financially, as they feel they are able.

Thank you in advance for your support and please keep me and my family in your prayers.
