Blessings for Amanda Brister and her Family

Donation protected
On Wednesday evening, May 20th, Amanda suffered from a sudden and very unexpected stroke. She was transported to TMC and received immediate urgent care. Amanda was alert and communicating when they decided to do a CT scan where they found her significant brain bleed. She was then sedated and put on a ventilator to help let her brain rest and keep her blood pressure down. Later that night once she was stable she was medi-flighted to Medical City Plano Stroke unit, where she is currently receiving amazing specialized care. The doctors here made a decision to insert a tube that allows the cerebral fluid to drain to help alleviate the pressure. Due to the Covid crisis, visitation is limited but thankfully Brian is allowed to be at her side, which we all know makes her happy. Updates are very few and far in between but we have been told that during this first 72 hour critical period that no news is good news. As of this morning the most recent CT scan showed no new bleeding which is great news! She is currently still sedated and resting. The next few days will be hurry up and wait. We can never have too many people praying and we know that these prayers are such a huge part of her healing process! These blessings will be given to the Brister family to help with any expenses that will be incurred during this time. Brian, Amanda and the boys are so thankful ❤️
