BLESSINGS FOR SHANA AS SHE BEATS CANCER

Hello, my name is Shana Turner. I am a single Christian mother of 3 adult children and grandmother of 3. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer after my annual mammogram; I'm scheduled for surgery May 16, 2022 followed by 16 weeks of radiation. I was unemployed during the pandemic and recently found employment. However, I will not be receiving any financial support during my surgery or radiation therapy treatments as my employer does not offer paid short-term disability. This fundraiser will help me pay for my treatment at University of Chicago, and cover expenses like rent, transportation to and from the hospital, and medication while I am out of work recovering.

I felt compelled to start this fundraiser because I need you to help ease the mental and unexpected financial burden this diagnosis brings. Thank you for your donation.
