Let's Build a Library!
We have the books - They have the building - We need YOUR help to raise the funds!
In June of 2022 Beverly Hayles, Melissa Moskov and the student council of Sand Creek Middle School in Albany, NY organized a book drive and collected over 12,000 books to send to Annai Village in Guyana, South America. You can read some different articles about the project, titled "Blessings of Books" here:
Beverly Hayles, educator and missionary, is also the Northeast Regional Coordinator for the nonprofit Backpack International Inc., and her team have prepared and organized the books in Hudson, NY where they are now waiting to be shipped.
The people of Annai have now built and painted the library and are eagerly awaiting the books. With your help, we can raise enough money to ship the books via a 20 foot shipping container and create the VERY FIRST library for the indigenous community in Annai.
Any amount of money will make a big difference. Your support will help shine a light in the often forgotten indigenous community and leave a lasting impact for generations to come!
We hope to send the books by mid to late November so they can arrive by December when our team plans to fly down to Guyana for the installment of the library.
