Honoring an "Old Friend"
Donation protected
You only ever have a few truly good--good friends in life. For me, Pat Mahoney is one. Not only is a he one of my closest friends and confidants, he's also among only a very few personal prayer partners and constant ministry companions. Pat and I have been through a lot together. He's a gift from God to me--and, I know--to you, too!
As Pat approaches 40 years of ordained ministry--unique and sometimes crazy ministry--we could all list an nearly endless number of ways he has touched our lives, our society, and our world. Let's just say Pat has made the past 40 years really count for the work of God!
Of course, if you know Pat, the last thing he ever thinks about is himself--and that means so much of the good he has done has benefited others and not himself. That's why I want to do something very special for Pat and I know you'll want to as well. I'm throwing a party to celebrate Pat's 40 years of selfless servanthood and I know he'll want you there. But, whether you can make it or not, I'm asking you to be a part of the big surprise by joining me in blessing Pat and Katie with a gift of $40,000--$1000 for each of the years they have given of themselves for the sake of others.
Pat would never ask for anything like this--and I haven't discussed it with him because he'd tell me to cut it out! Well, I won't cut it out and I know you won't either.
Please consider helping us raise $40,000 so we can all give Pat a check at this 40th Ministry Anniversary bash in May of this year.
