Blind Baseball goes to ITALY ⚾️

Please support members of 2022 Team USA and the United States Blind Baseball Assoc, as we travel to Bologna, Italy (birthplace of our adaptive sport). Our group is participating in a week long developmental clinic, culminating in a tournament against local European teams. Your donation will support travel expenses and necessary equipment associated with our stay in Italy.

Participating in Blind Baseball has been exciting and life changing. I’ve had to rely on my other senses and hours of mobility training in a way that I’ve only recently become comfortable with discussing. Trusting myself to walk the baseball diamond and eventually run at top speed, unassisted forced me to face feelings of fear and shame at the beginning of this process. After a few tears and a quick pep talk with myself, I CHOSE to honor my inner competitor becoming dominant on my local team. I eventually made the team that represented the United States at the WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup in the Netherlands. We placed third earning the United States it’s first medal; BRONZE
