"BLIND DATE" Starring Carly Chaikin

Hello friends, family and generous supporters!

We're reaching out on behalf of our short film/passion project "Blind Date" starring Carly Chaikin, written by Carly and Nina Steffel.

A heartfelt comedy, "Blind Date" tells the story of a guy (Hunter Paul) on his first blind date ever. As he sits and scans the restaurant for the girl he's meeting, we fall into a journey of all of the potential dates and ways it could go wrong.

This is a project we have built together from the ground up and most excitingly will be Carly Chaikins directorial debut.

We know that $7,500 is a big ask, but we are hoping to make this short film the absolute BEST that it can be. Our main cost is for a restaurant location, as well as renting the necessary equipment and paying the fantastic crew we've put together. Surprisingly enough, to do even a short film properly costs more than you'd think!

Our goal is to collect enough funds to shoot the film in December, before our schedules rev up in the new year. Funds will also go towards submitting  the film to short film festivals around the country in 2016. 

For those who don't know us  - Carly Chaikin currently stars on USA's breakout hit "Mr. Robot" as Darlene, and previously starred on ABC's "Suburgatory" as Dalia.
I'm (Nina) a producer on television favorites "Project Runway" and "MasterChef." We're also both really nice.

Although the number might be intimidating, don't be scared! Even a $1, $5, $10 donation would mean the world to us and be beneficial in helping us reach our goal. We'd be so thankful for the support to create this project that we love, as well as helping young actors, writers, producers and crew indulge in doing something that they love.
