Blindsided Twice By MARCH in 12 months.

Mark Hanna is a friend to all who meet him, and always the first to volunteer his time, money, and energy to help others who are in need. Just about everybody who lives in, or who has passed through, Key West Florida has met Mark: he’s been a staple at the Hogs Breath Saloon on Duval Street for decades.
The pandemic that rocked the whole world destroyed the hospitality industry. The small island of Key West (which depends on tourism and hospitality services for economic stability) was hit especially hard. Mark spent most of the pandemic trying to keep everyone around him fed and clothed, until the island could re-open. It was only very recently that restrictions were lifted and tourists returned so that everyone on the island could get back to work. Like so many others, Mark had to use all of his savings during the pandemic, and he is now relying on his week to week income.
On March 30th, Mark was on his way to work and was broadsided at 40mph by a taxi cab. He sustained life threatening injuries and was airlifted to Miami, where he was immediately put through a series of surgeries. Thankfully, doctors were able to save Mark’s life, and to stabilize him. However, the impact of the accident nearly severed one of his lower legs, and he has a long and painful road in front of him.
This man is one of the finest people out there. He has spent his life helping others, he is in trouble, and he now needs our help. Please donate whatever you can, to absorb the shocking cost of medical fees associated with this accident, and to help Mark hang on to his home while he is recuperating. If we work together, we can take his mind off of the crushing financial pressure and allow him to focus on his recovery. Every little bit counts, so please donate any amount you are able to. Thank you so much for every penny you put forward to get Mark back on his feet.
