National Association of Blind Students

The National Association of Blind Students believes that every blind student has the capacity to succeed and live the life we want. For over four decades, we have worked as an integral part of the National Federation of the Blind to promote equality by serving as a source of information, a forum for networking, and a vehicle for collective action for blind students. We do work at the local, state and national levels because blindness will not prevent us from excelling in our chosen fields of study or living a full and productive life. Above all else, we are dedicated to changing what it means to be blind by raising the expectations  for the blind and encouraging blind students to strive to achieve their maximum potential and realize their ability to follow their dreams.

The sole purpose of this page is to raise funds for the National Association of Blind Students (NABS) in order to financially support students in attending National Conventions, State Conventions, and Washington Seminars, a week-long event in DC where Federationists advocate for equal access to education, fair treatment in the workplace, and other relevant issues relating to the prosperity of blind citizens. Furthermore, donations will help fund our leaders in attending various events nationwide. These special events encourage leadership growth, network building, and student division development.
