Block the Boat - Oakland - 2021
Tax deductible
In 2014, Block the Boat mobilizations succeeded in stopping Apartheid Israel's largest and oldest cargo shipping company, Zim, from docking in Oakland. Zim ships have not returned since.
In the midst of yet another assault against the people of Gaza and Jerusalem and mass arrests of Palestinians inside of '48/the State of Israel, Zim is threatening to return.
Organized by the Arab Resource and Organizing Center, the Block the Boat Coalition is preparing to once again stop Zim from unloading its ship.
So far we have been successful at holding off Zim ships from docking. It takes a lot of organizing and carries some expense to keep preparing to deploy a community picket in this game of cat and mouse with Zim.
Please support the community-labor alliance and contribute towards the basic costs involved in mobilizing the mass community picket necessary to stop Zim operated ships from docking and unloading in Oakland.
