Hello there!

My name is Greysen. I'm a 23-year-old trans masculine Filipino man who is getting top surgery in August 2025 to help me be more confident, and to help kick the butt of my dysphoria that's been kicking my butt now since I was a kid, as well as to help my fiancée care for me in the time afterwards.

I grew up in a very verbally abusive household. I didn't know anything about trans people, just the horrible things my parents said about them, and I was very small-minded at the time. It wasn't until I finally escaped my parents' home that I learned about my gender and who I truly was.

To begin with, I met my partner, who wishes to remain anonymous for both our safeties, on a podcast about four years ago, and we dedicated everything to making our relationship work. He lived in New England, and I in California, and we made it work for three years despite being long-distance and almost never being able to see one another.

About a year ago, I moved to the East Coast from California and have had to build myself from the ground up. I had no roommates, no friends, no family, and no support. I barely made it by. My partner had been searching for a job himself so that he could move out of his own abusive household, but due to the stress of the environment, we decided to move him out early.

We now live together on our own, and while he was able to find a job just recently, it's still not a high-paying one. We're still barely getting by with no room to save any money. We've been looking for ways to make ends meet, but to get this surgery we need support.

This is why I've started this GoFundMe. Both of us are in a place we've never been before, trying to start a brand-new life together, with almost nothing to our names. We're so, so eager to begin to grow our lives together, and what's more, we're even more excited to give back to our community (both locally and globally), and to meet more people who are LGBTQ+, but we've been entirely unable to due to our financial circumstances.

If it is within your power, any donation is appreciated. I am grateful to all of you for whatever you can give. All profits not directly used for the surgery will be used for pillows for post-surgery care and other similar products. I will be very transparent about the usage of these donations. Afterwards, the rest will go to other GoFundMes just like mine.
