BLS Crew Ergathon 2024
Tax deductible
Welcome to 2024 BLS Crew Ergathon!
The Boston Latin School Crew is an competitive public school rowing program at the oldest public high school in the country. BLS Crew is supported through fees paid by rower families, fundraising events, and generous donors. BLS Crew is an inclusive program, offering financial aid to make participation affordable for all BLS families. BLS Crew has a staff of professional coaches and is operated by Friends of BLS Crew, Inc., a non-profit organization run by parent volunteers.
Along with being welcoming and inclusive, the crew is competitive. In the Spring of 2023 two boats completed in US Rowing's Youth Nationals and in the Fall 2023, the girls’ and boys’ varsity teams competed in the Head of the Charles Regatta. This year’s spring season race line-up is jam packed.
The Ergathon is our major annual fundraiser raising money for equipment and financial aid for our BLS Crew varsity and novice teams. An “Erg” is short for ergometer, the rowing machine we use for training and fitness. During the Ergathon event, each rower takes a turn on the Erg and will attempt to row 10,000 meters. What makes this event special is that ALL team members will be rowing on Sunday, May 5th to support this effort. You can see pictures from last year's Ergathon as well as some other activities from the season in the video on this page.
Please make a pledge to help support our BLS Crew team program! 100% of the donated funds go to the team.
Friends of BLS Crew, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are fully tax-deductible.
