Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps 2024

My name is Nathan Schwarz, and I am a senior at Noblesville High School. It brings me great pride to share with you a milestone in my music education journey. After graduation, I will be traveling throughout the US playing with the Blue Knights based out of Dever, CO. Blue Knights are part of Drum Corps International (DCI). If you are not familiar with DCI or the Blue Knights, I will attach links for you to see what it is all about.

Since my freshman year, it has been my absolute dream to march with a corps after graduation. From the first time I saw a DCI group play, it has been my unwavering dream to become a member of a drum corps. Now, I have this amazing opportunity and I am so excited. I have worked so hard to make this happen and have been rewarded with a contract from the Blue Knights, and I couldn't be more honored.

Marching in a drum corps is not just about the music; it is an experience. It is about camaraderie, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. It is about taking on challenges and learning from them and growing. I believe marching with the Blue Knights will make me stronger for the fall as I continue my education at Purdue University to study Engineering.

However, this opportunity comes with its own set of challenges, particularly financial ones. The tour fees associated with participating in the Blue Knights are significant and while I am committed to pursuing my passion wholeheartedly, I recognize that I can't do it alone. That is why I'm reaching out to my friends, family, and community. Your generosity and encouragement have always been a source of strength for me, and I ask for your support once again. Whether you are able to contribute a little or a lot, know that any amount is a step for my future.
