Blue Light Junction - Buildout
Donation protected
The Baltimore Natural Dye Initiative has begun its second and final growing season. With all that we have learned, shared, and created we didn't want a good thing to come to an end. With MICA's support we have planted a seed for the future and opened Baltimore's first natural dye studio.
Blue Light Junction - is an alternative color lab, natural dye garden & educational facility focusing on growing, processing and preserving the history of natural dyes and their enhancements and use in everyday objects. We are excited to connect to residents within Baltimore City, students, artists, elders and culture bearers.
We could use your support! While we are hard at work writing grants and looking for capitol support we are in need of immediate funds. We are hoping to raise $125,000 to build the first dye studio and processing center in Baltimore City! This is an ongoing process and we hope you will check in from time to time to support in whatever way you are able and to see what we are working on.
This project has been the work of many hands and we are grateful for your hands to help support Blue Light Junction as we continue the work of creating a diverse artistic and sustainable studio to add to the richness of Charm City's legacy.

We also want to garden to be a wild sanctuary for lazy picnics, wandering and exploration and for children to enjoy.
Benches, tables, mulch, and creative play equipment for kids.
Phase 4:

As we continue to expand our growing efforts with Farmers throughout Baltimore City we will require capital for paying the farmers a living wage as well as procure equipment for processing and drying the plants.
