Blue Ridge Serbia

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021 we will start the Blue Ridge Serbia, a cycling trip for a goal much more important than the personal challenge of completing a 469 miles (755 km) bicycle ride. We pledge to ride entire Blue Ridge Parkway, to raise both awareness and funds for the mortgage pay off for our church St Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church in Charlotte, NC. We are small parish and the main way of income are weekly services, fund raiser lunches, Serbian Festival, soccer tournaments, picnics, and other events. All of these events were either completely or partially canceled due to Covid-19, and we have found ourselves in very difficult situation. We are trying to pay off the mortgage loan, which would insure existence of our church. Please find it in your heart to contribute to Blue Ridge Serbia. Your donation, no matter what size, big or small, will make a significant difference in both the existence of our church and the promotion of openness and diversity in, not just Charlotte, but the entire US. Prior to the trip we will document our training, preparation, equipment selection etc. on social media. During the trip, we will keep everyone updated on our location and our experience.
