Help Build Bridges at Blueberry Hill Conservation Area for My Eagle Scout Project
Hi, I’m Liam, and I’m currently a Life Scout with Troop 106 and a member of West Boylston Venture Crew 204. I’ve been a Scout since 1st grade, and for my Eagle Scout project, I’m working to build bridges at Blueberry Hill Conservation Area in West Boylston. The 1-mile loop trail has a few wet spots and a ditch that make it difficult to navigate, especially after rain. I’ll be building several small bridges to make the trail safer and easier for everyone to enjoy, year-round.
To raise funds, I’ll be hiking 20 miles at Blueberry Hill on November 23rd to help raise awareness and support for the project. If you’d like to help out, consider donating a few dollars per mile I will be hiking.
The beneficiary of this project is the Town of West Boylston, with support from the Open Space Committee. To make this project a reality, I need to raise money for materials like wood, nails, and other supplies. My goal is to get the bridges built before the winter weather sets in. Your support will make a big difference in making Blueberry Hill more fun for everyone.
If you haven't gone to check out the trail yet the address is 355 Goodale Street. A map is available here: https://www.westboylston-ma.gov/sites/g/files/vyhlif1421/f/uploads/blueberry_hill-b-hiking_map.pdf
Thank you so much for your help!
Sincerely,
Liam Archambeault
