Bluebush Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cate and I am hoping to raise some much needed funds for Bluebush Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation. This cause is very close to mine and my 2 daughters hearts as we love the native animals here in Western Australia and what these volunteers do is simply AMAZING!
BUT they do it all voluntarily and need financial support. As you can imagine, rehabilitation of animals is expensive and native animals require special care with the special (expensive) food/milk they require as well as the cages, tanks, heat lamps (electricity), not to mention all the time and love put into keeping these animals alive, sometimes getting up numerous times a night to feed joeys. When I had a newborn, Sue was up more often than me!!

Here is some information about Bluebush and the work they do…

“Bluebush Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc. was formed in late 2018, to meet a need in the Mid-West and Wheatbelt regions of Western Australia. I (Sue), along with my husband(Steve), moved to a little town called Buntine, in WA, in early 2018. This move meant that I was close to my friend Shannyn, who lives in Coorow. We are both registered wildlife rehabilitators and we pooled resources and formed Bluebush Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, along with our husbands and families.

As a group, we care for most native Western Australian wildlife and, once rehabilitated, we work to release back to their natural environment. All of the work which we do is voluntary and self-funded.

We have our own release site, approximately 1250 acres, called Little Bluebush Wildlife Sanctuary which is near Latham in Western Australia. This is a self-funded project, or even a passion, by myself and my husband. We still have a lot of work to do to build enclosures, aviaries and whatever else we find we need in the future. We currently have one pre-release enclosure (approximately 2 acres in size) and a second 3 acre enclosure. Bluebush Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc. now has a charitable licence which allows us to seek much needed donations, which, in turn, will allow us to continue, to grow and to develop our skills and facilities.

⭐️OUR MISSION⭐️
To protect and rehabilitate sick, injured, orphaned and displaced native wildlife in collaboration with other like-minded organisations, official bodies and the local community.

⭐️OUR VISION⭐️
Our vision is that our local community, native wildlife, and the environment can survive and thrive without being detrimental to the existence of each other.
To help with this vision we aim to:
• Develop, educate and support a team of volunteers
• Ongoing education for volunteers to ensure best practice
• Provide approved release sites for native wildlife that cannot be returned to their original location
• Gain community support by raising awareness of native wildlife and their habitat through education.
• Promote conservation in the community”

I hope that you can find it in your hearts (and pockets) to donate to this special cause and help support these wonderful people and all that they do ❤️ The animals will appreciate it❤️
