Bring Blue Heron Public Art to Peninsula!
Donation protected
The Peninsula Area Chamber of Commerce is raising funds for a public art installation in our village.
Local artist Michael Marras will create a blue heron sculpture for Peninsula. The sculpture will be one in a series of three pieces made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the last burning of the Cuyahoga River, a pivotal event in Northeast Ohio and the entire country. The artist describes the work as a "representation of a healthy river with healthy and thriving ecosystems" which "create healthier and environmentally conscious economies and communities."
The art will be installed at a public place in Peninsula, the specific location to be announced.
Help us commemorate this momentous event with a beautiful public art installation that our entire community and visitors can enjoy!
