Bluey's Double Cruciate Surgery

At only 4 years old, and being a typical Jack Russell Terrier, Bluey is a young lad full of life who just wants to make the most of every moment! Our staff here at the shelter have known and loved Bluey a long time as he was a regular boarder, but he unfortunately had to be surrendered and become a part of our shelter gang waiting for forever homes.
Bluey's journey to find a home came to a sudden halt amidst his Health Check, which all of our animals need to pass before setting out to find a new family. It was soon discovered by the veterinarians that Bluey had ruptured not one, but both cruciate ligaments; this encompasses a grueling recovery time and is extremely costly!
However, we had no second thoughts on how to proceed as Bluey deserves his second chance at a happily-ever-after just like all the other animals who come through our doors. At $6000, this is a hefty bill for us to cover as a not-for-profit charity who pay for multiple different procedures for all the dogs who enter the shelter, including desexing, vaccinating, heartworm treatments, and any diagnostics to name a few.
Bluey has now had his first procedure, and will be in for a period of rest and recovering before getting the other leg done. He will not be up for adoption before he has made a full recovery, however we are extremely grateful for any donations that be made towards his treatment.
Below is a blurb generated by GoFundMe that entails a bit about what we do:

More information about YOUNG ANIMAL PROTECTION SOCIETY INC: all animals abandoned/neglected animals coming into our care are vet checked, vaccinated, desexed and micro chipped before being rehomed back into the community. Often animals have to stay in our care for longer periods of time before being put up for adoption, as they may have some ongoing treatment that must be completed before going to a new home.
