Hello, I’m Priscilla May and I am creating this fundraiser (with Kayla’s permission) on behalf of my son-in-law Julio. As many of you know Julio was airlifted to a hospital in Santa Barbara October 19th and was put into a medically induced coma and placed on a ventilator. The very next day he underwent brain surgery to fix the bleed they found. He remained in a medically induced coma for several days after surgery to allow his body to rest and recover. October 24, they successfully took him off the ventilator. Each day has been touch and go but he is making great progress and is in good spirits. With that being said, he has a very long road of recovery ahead of him. As much as we would like him to walk out of the hospital in a few days, that just simply isn’t going to happen. He will remain in the hospital for a while more until released home to continue physical therapy. During this entire time, his little family has zero income coming in. Julio has always been an amazing provider for his wife Kayla and his son Link. It will be quite awhile before life will return to “normal” for this family. If any of you are able to pitch in even a few dollars just to help keep the lights on and food in the fridge, it would be VERY appreciated.
