Brendon Ziegler's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Brendon Ziegler was the first strength and conditioning coach hired by the CSU Bakersfield Athletics department in 2011 and he is still building that same program today! Brendon's work ethic, passion, and expertise has transformed the lives of many student-athletes and will transform many more lives for years to come.
Brendon was first diagnosed with cancer (non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) in 2014. After surgery and chemotherapy, he was able to become cancer-free. As Brendon battled cancer, he never missed a day of work (he says he missed one). His courageous story was highlighted in a video that was shared by the Western Athletic Conference office and the video is below.
In December of 2019, a new type of cancer was discovered in Brendon's neck. After an extensive surgery at UCLA to remove the tumor, the doctors diagnosed Brendon with a very rare form of Neuroendocrine cancer (very few cases known). He was also diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. The great news is Brendon has some of the best doctors in the world and he will be going through very aggressive Radiation Therapy and Chemotherapy. He will be traveling from Bakersfield to UCLA for his treatment.
There are many travel and medical expenses that will come in the days ahead and we want to help Brendon, Crissy, and Brock with these expenses. Thank you for your consideration in supporting the Ziegler family!
