This is an update to the many of you that have read Krystal's story.
We have felt your prayers and your donations are truly a Blessing.
Wednesday afternoon, June 7, 2023, surrounded by Cody, Shane and her family, Krystal walked thru the Gates of Heaven into the waiting arms of Jesus. She was ours for a while on this earth but She has always been one of God's special children.
Please know we appreciate every one of you that have cared to donate. We will continue to accept donations for the numerous medical expenses that were not covered so that Cody, Shane, Easton and baby Kyndall might start their healing.
As I sit here thinking of all the reasons I don’t want to do this.
I have consciously been putting off this Go Fund Me page, dragging my feet not wanting to confirm the final chapter in my gorgeous, beautiful, full of life, shining star of our family, granddaughter, Krystal Snyder Carlile.
Krystal, is the most generous, happy, beautiful young lady ever. She does not know a stranger. She could sell you anything, she loves life and family to the fullest and never misses a beat.
Krystal is wife to Cody, mom to Shane 14, Easton 7, and new baby daughter, Kyndall.
Krystal’s story began at age 10 when she was diagnosed with one of the largest brain tumors Cooks Children hospital had seen at the time. God’s hand touched the surgeon and our first miracle occurred.
Head covered in bandages, headaches and with God’s love, she recovered. Krystal marched on through school, met her loving husband Cody, adding her 2 sons, Shane and Easton.
Always ready for new adventures, Cody’s mom needed help in Maine, so off they went. During that time, Krystal, now 30, started having major headaches and a visit to the neurosurgeon resulted in a tumor had grown back in the same area as before. Once again surgery was scheduled and along with new technology and proton radiation, she came through recovery, not skipping a beat. She went right back to her busy life, being the wonderful mom, wife and friend she naturally is.
It was time to move back to their Texas family. They headed back with the boys, now fully engaged in school, sports and time to complete their family.
August 2022, we all celebrated the big reveal of a Pink bundle of joy.
As the pregnancy progressed, Krystal began to experience numbness in her legs, thinking it was due to the ever-growing little Kyndall, they went in for tests. It was not good news. There were 2 growths on her spine that would need to be removed. The Doctors could not do surgery without first delivering the baby, so at 7 ½ months right before Thanksgiving, Kyndall was welcomed into the family. Being a premature baby, Kyndall was in NECU for almost 3 months.
The Doctors immediately started removing the tumors from Krystal’s spine. She worked so hard to recover, walking was a challenge due to limited or no movement in her torso. She was always laughing and joking with the staff, she was their favorite. Once again Krystal’s charm had everyone singing her praises. Days, then weeks passed, Dr’s could no longer do anything for her. For the first time, her body was failing her. The decision was made for her to go home and spend as much time as possible with family, friends and hospice. Her care now more demanding. Cody, his work, kids, food, formula, diapers and the dreaded medical bills all crashing together are more than most of us can handle at one time. The truth is, we are on God’s time now.
We are in the final transition of this nightmare. None of us, who know and love Krystal, want to admit it’s here now and there is no turning back.
Why a Go Fund Me page? At 34, you are not planning a funeral. You save money for a home, a trip, your kids, life itself. Your mind does not even consider saving, much less paying for a funeral. The reality of the cost of a funeral is simply overwhelming, on top of the never-ending medical bills. Cody, her husband has been by her side every day, helping the boys understand, doing diaper duty and hugging baby Kyndall.
Krystal’s family needs your help to help fund this major, unexpected expense of more than $10,000. This is only a portion of the expenses, any contribution is more than greatly appreciated.
We know, God’s got this!
