Brianna Belcher's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Brianna Belcher has been struggling with some serious medical issues this year as many of you know. Many of our friends and family have been praying and we have truly been blessed with the support that has been shown and have felt your prayers. She has been hospitalized multiple times with some of her longest stays of up to nearly 35 days during the beginning of this year and a minimum of 15-20 (we've lost track) ER trips for pain. Even though she has medical insurance she has incurred a large number of medical as well as personal bills (Student loans) as a result of not being able to work at all. Brianna has also had to stop classes at Anderson University during her last semester due to extended hospitalization.
Brianna has been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis as a result of an ERCP following a gall bladder removal 5 years ago. Due to Briana's condition she has had many hospital stays, ER trips, surgeries and procedures.
Currently, Brianna has a feeding tube to attempt to give her pancreas area a break. This is the second tube as the first one hit a nerve and caused extreme nerve pain in addition to her pancreatitis which resulted in another 3 day hospital stay. At 20 years of age, this is very disruptive to her life plans and has been a challenge for her, our family, and each of us as individuals.
During a time when most normal 20 year olds are going to college, going out with friends, or just enjoying life Brianna has been dealing with her health issues and how to get through each day with severe pancreas pain. It is really hard to come to the place for Brianna to ask for this assistance, but if you can support her in any way to cover these medical and personal expenses this would help her and us to be free of some of the financial stress and pressure as Brianna attempts to recover. We are unsure as to the next steps medically that will be needed. We truly appreciate all of the prayers that everyone has spoken for Brianna and our family. This has been a very unexpected journey for us, but we are relying on God's strength in all that we do. He is always faithful and we are trusting Jesus that Brianna will make a full recovery and is able to return to a normal life soon.
Thank you so much for your financial support during this time.
Sincerely (On behalf of Brianna),
Matt Belcher
