Boards For Change - Sacramento

Boards For Change is an initiative created by a team of women in Sacramento: Kimberly Prince, Lina Washington and Shannan O'Rourke. This is a collaborative community beautification project with a purpose in direct response to recent #BlackLivesMatter demonstrations. We are connecting local artists with boarded-up businesses in the Sacramento region and turning those spaces into massive canvases in a show of solidarity. The goal is to later flip these pieces of art and auction them off with proceeds benefiting Black youth organizations in the greater Sacramento area.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response, we have created this GoFundMe page to allow others in position to give to do so. Funds raised will be directly invested in Sacramento youth in vulnerable neighborhoods. Any amount would be greatly appreciated!
