Bob Berglund

Hi this is Larry, on behalf of my sister Kimberly Meggs Berglund and my brother in-law Bob Berglund. I need your help raising funds for the huge expenses that is needed for Bob and his family as they attempt to process this terrible tragedy and deal with the multiple serious injuries that Bob has. Donations will be greatly appreciated.
Last Wednesday, the unthinkable happened as Bob was crushed by a truck that left the roadway and crashed through a dental office at high speed, pinning him down and fracturing his skull, leg, vertebra, ribs, scapula. A Navy Veteran and former Navy Dental Repair Technician, Bob has proudly worked for Benco Dental for nine years helping dental offices and dentists across Northern California and Nevada to install and repair complex dental equipment. Bob was assigned to the dental office in Elk Grove on Wednesday, to install new equipment. As he was working in the dental operatory, the F150 truck at full speed crashed into the building and space Bob was working in, pushing his body though equipment and cabinets; he sustained eight separate fractures and his leg was pinned by the truck’s bumper, Bob landing on the hood near the front desk. He was rushed to the emergency room and into surgery. His doctors tell us that it’s a miracle he is alive given the seriousness of the head trauma and his other injuries, including lacerations to his brain from the skull fractures. Bob has undergone two surgeries since Wednesday, including operations to repair his fractured skull and compound broken leg. He remains in the ICU at Kaiser South, Level 2 Trauma center, with serious injuries and no timeline for recovery given the extent of his head trauma. We want to thank the trauma doctors, nurses, and social workers, as well as the Cosumnes Fire Department and Elk Grove Police Department for their quick response and work to get Bob unpinned and to the hospital. Your prayers are appreciated for Bob. It will be a long and challenging recovery. A GoFundMe is being set up on Bob’s behalf to help with the cost of a long rehabilitation, expenses, and ambulatory needs not covered by insurance.
