Bob Brown Memorial Fund Raiser
Tax deductible
This is a fundraiser in memory of Robert (Bob) Stanley Brown, 86, who passed away on November 23, 2023, in Hollywood, Florida. Bob’s wife of 58 years, Vivian, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease approximately five years ago. The disease rapidly progressed stripping Vivian of memories and robbing Bob, in the last years of his life, of the wife he knew and loved. Vivian lives on not remembering that Bob is no longer with us — continually asking about him and when she will see him again. Those around Vivian (family and caregivers) do not remind Vivian about Bob’s passing as doing so is cruel, since telling her about Bob’s demise would be news to her, again, and again.
But that is Alzheimer’s disease. It is a cruel, progressive disease that takes away who we are and what we know: from our ability to remember, to our personality; our ability to talk to our ability to move; eventually, it takes away our ability to swallow.
Your donation in Bob’s memory is to support our hope of advancements in the finding of a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you for your donation.
