Due to the charges levied against Bob Crimo Jr., I am asking you for your compassion and for your urgently needed help.
The unforeseen tragedy that occurred on July 4th in Highland Park has left immeasurable effects extending far and wide in the community. This catastrophic event has undoubtedly been an enormous loss to the entire community. This tragedy for Bob Crimo Jr., a man whose family has called Highland Park home for over 100 years, has been soul crushing.
He has attempted to navigate this situation with empathy, compassion, and grace while he mourns quietly with Highland Park. There isn’t a manual for a man in his position. He is bound by silence for legal reasons, but his heart is no less heavy or broken for all. A once beloved figure, friend, and business owner is now ostracized and embroiled in his own legal defense.
He has found himself unexpectedly terminated from his job while his own case[s] is/are pending, and as a result, unable to gain employment elsewhere due to not only the background checks displaying the pending charges, but the stigma that now accompanies his name.
The family home in Highwood, once owned by Bob Crimo Sr, was intended to be passed down to future generations as was done for Bob Jr. It is now facing foreclosure.
Bob, for all his years of hard work, is now in destitute circumstances and unable to support himself or his family, including basic cost of living expenses and assisting his youngest child who is currently in college.
In addition to this, the legal fees needed to ensure what is happening to him does not happen to another parent, are exorbitant.
Even in times of crisis, it is imperative that we remain strong in our humanity and assist our fellow man when they are struggling. Regardless of the circumstances that have yet to be determined as fact, Bob is still a husband, a father, and a human, and he desperately needs our help to survive.
