On December 20, 2019, Bob's life was tragically taken. As he left work at 3pm, he saw someone breaking into his truck. Bob walked up to his truck, just as the suspects jumped into their own car. Speeding off, they ran over Bob, killing him. For further details, please see News Link
Bob is survived by his amazing wife Gail and two children Eli and Anna. Eli has graduated from The University of South Carolina and has started his career. Anna is in her second year of college at University of South Carolina, Upstate.
Working with Bob for over 18 years, he was not only the finest individual you could ever hope to have on your team, but the greatest man you could ever meet. Bob wasn't just "one" of the good guys, he WAS the Good Guy. There wasn't a person he wouldn't help, or a smile he wouldn't offer, right after his hand to shake and look you in the eyes with honest care. Bob set the bar for what husband, father, and friend means.
Nothing in life can prepare for such a tragedy, or the financial impact this immediately causes and lasts for a lifetime. Please join us as we raise funds for the family to help offset his loss and the loss of income they will face. The funds raised will be used by Gail Hopkins, to pay off the kids college debt, and set up an investment fund to provide income to the family, into the future.
