My name is Jeannine. I have never done anything like this before but sometimes it takes a village and this is the time.
Life throws a lot of curves and for the last few years I have had my share of heartaches. My brother passed away in 2017 at age 55 and my mom passed of cancer in 2020. I had always been very different from my mother and Brother and in 2020 I decided to do a DNA test. I was shocked when I received my results. I discovered that my biological father was not my biological father. Upon further review I discovered I had an older brother. I immediately made contact and a new chapter in my life has opened up. My Brother is a wonderful person. He is kind caring and has a great sense of humor! Sadly I also learned that he had developed tumors
on his liver. Over the past several years Bob has had to undergo surgeries to remove the tumors. It was then discovered they were cancerous. The first surgery two tumors were removed and the second surgery 3 tumors were removed. Unfortunately his prognosis was grim and the only option for long term survival was a complete liver transplant. For two years Bob waited and on January 15 2023 Bob was gifted a new liver. It was a 14 hour surgery but Bob is a tough old bird and is doing remarkably well. The family would like to thank the donors family for such a unselfish gift and Bob has promised to follow all medical advice and is eternally grateful for his new liver. Now the harder part begins. Recovery is forever and Bob will be taking anti rejection medications for the rest of his life. He will be required to have ongoing follow up medical care. Bob has been on disability since he first became Ill. His wife Amy is a middle school math teacher. Unfortunately the copayments on Bobs medications are astronomical. They also have been incurring unpredicted expenses having to travel from Vermont to Boston for medical appointments and also the cost of food and lodging. The ongoing expenses will be life long. Bob is an extremely proud man and initially resisted the idea of a fundraising when it was first mentioned. But he is scared of not being able to afford his medicine and all the expenses his illness has caused his family. Any donation big or small would be so appreciated. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Bob and Amy want to say they are
very appreciative for donations from the Milton Fire Department and bingo players, along with the MTSD teachers and staff. Their donations have helped them get thru the last 3 weeks.
