Bob Raybould Memorial Fund
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Bob Raybould last week. Bob had been experiencing lots of pain but wasn't sure what it was. They finally got in to see a doctor who referred them to an oncologist. After over a week of waiting, Bob finally got an appointment. He was diagnosed with cancer that had metastasized throughout his body. They were hoping he could get chemotherapy and/or radiation which would have given him a fighting chance if his body could handle the treatments. Sadly, his body was already too weak. He was put on hospice right after that as his organs had begun shutting down and he died on May 13th.
Bob was blessed with a large extended family and many friends. Hoffmantown Church was his house of worship and he had many friends there. He graduated from Sandia High School in 1976 and attended TVI and Southwest Theological Seminary. He loved working with his hands - whether painting, doing electrical work or helping a friend with a project or the elderly with home projects. He was a substitute houseparent for children's homes and enjoyed making himself useful wherever he could. He loved the outdoors and was happiest helping others in need. He will be missed dearly.
It's been very hard on Heidi, as you can imagine. She has been taking care of Bob and arranging his care and now is having to deal with his funeral/memorial arrangements.
We wanted you, his family and friends, to be aware and to help where you can. Heidi has asked that in lieu of flowers or plants, people can give to a memorial fund for Bob to help with medical and funeral expenses. Any amount is greatly appreciated. For those who knew and loved Bob and his family, this is a small way we can come alongside Heidi now.
Thank you for your willingness to give. We know Bob is fully healed and in the presence of the Lord. Praise God!
Bob's Memorial service will be Sat, June 5th at 11 AM at French's Mortuary.
