Bob v Ben

Hi,

I decided to challenge myself to climb Ben Nevis on the 19th of July and thought whilst embarking on this challenge it would be worthwhile doing it to raise money for a good cause.

I can happily say I made it to the Summit.

The good cause;

Danecourt is a special school catering to primary-aged children who have special educational needs. The school caters for children with a wide breadth of needs including complex learning difficulties, autism and social-emotional mental health needs.

Why are they raising money? For an Immersive Classroom.

What is an immersive classroom?

Imagine swimming with dolphins, floating with bubbles, or joining a spacecraft in flight.

With an immersive classroom, all these things are possible!

An immersive room will allow us to bring the real world into our school giving our children experiences that they may not ordinarily encounter.

The immersive classroom combines three interactive film walls with projected images and controllable lights, sounds, temperature, vibrations - even smells

They want all children to explore the world in the fullest way possible and an immersive classroom allows them to do this but in a completely safe environment.
