Battle with Bob
Donation protected
As many of you know, our dad, Bob Williamson, has been battling severe pain in his hips and legs for many years. About a month and a half ago, Dad had a partial hip replacement. We were so relieved to know that he felt immediate relief and were so hopeful that things would be on the up and up.
On December 23, Dad was not being himself, couldn’t express his thoughts and was experiencing quite a bit of pain. We decided to take him to the ER and he was admitted for sepsis with a 103 temp caused by an infection at his hip. During his five day stay at the hospital (hopefully heading home tomorrow!!), he was able to get the infection under control.
However, on Christmas Day, we found out that Dad has a large Meningioma brain tumor and will need to go to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center in January to have it removed. The doctors are hopeful that is it most likely a benign tumor but he may still need radiation. We have been told that the intricate surgery will take about 10-12 hours and our mom, Vickie, will be by his side for approximately two weeks in Seattle. Not only will there be medical, hotel, travel and food expenses; Dad can no longer drive which requires him to quit his job and he still needs the other hip replacement surgery done at some point.
It has been a very overwhelming few days, and years for my parents, but we are already feeling the love and prayers from so many of you and are hopeful that things will go smoothly. If you are able to donate in the Battle to get our Dad, Husband and Bobo back we would appreciate it more than you will ever know.
Dad doesn’t have Facebook but we will be sharing all of the kind comments and prayers being sent his way.
