Bobbie's Amputation and Chemo

Donation protected
UPDATE 2: Thank you everyone who has donated thus far! Again we can't thank you enough. At this point we no longer need further assistance for Bobbie's treatment!

She's up and on her feet and adapting quite well to being a tripawed triceracat. Also, given the amazing margins the surgeon was able to get during the amputation her Surgeon and the Oncologist do not believe she'll be needing the aggressive chemo we were initially quoted for. She does need to be monitored and have a few follow-up oncology visits and imaging (xrays and ultrasounds) but the belief is she is now cancer free!

Again thank you so much for the amazing support, we could not have done this without you.

(Yes it's a Grogu onesie for my precious cargo (:. This is the way.)

Bobbie is my 7-year-old, adorably derpy, little calico kitty and I hate that I'm having to do this, but we are in need of financial assistance to get her the treatment she needs.

Back in February I found a small, painful mass in her left rear leg. I took her to the vet and paid for removal surgery and a biopsy. The results came back cancerous. By the start of May, the mass was growing back. It is now the size of a golf ball protruding from her leg. What was thought to be just a soft tissue sarcoma is now believed to be an injection site sarcoma and the only option is to amputate her leg followed by 5+ courses of chemo.

We've been to and paid for the original surgery, initial oncologist visit, an echo, x-rays, blood work and all the vet visits up to this point. I do have insurance for her, but it requires me to pay up front and won't cover the full cost of treatment plus her chemo and it's all getting to be financially straining. Insurance has a maximum of 5k at 80% reimbursement.

She still needs an ultrasound on her belly to ensure there's nothing else preventing the surgery to go forward, the amputation surgery and chemo. The CT scan can be helpful for finding necessary margins but the surgeon doesn't believe it's necessary. See below for the surgical and exam estimate we just got today. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Anything left over or reimbursed by her insurance I will gladly donate to a local cat rescue or animal shelter.

Thank you for taking the time to consider helping me get my baby the treatment she needs.

Update: We cannot thank all the present donors enough for the generous amount that has been given so far. It is because of you we've been able to schedule her surgery date with it in mind that we should have the finances to proceed with her treatment. While we still will have outstanding charges we will have to pay off, they will be manageable for us rather than an unobtainable, devastating amount.

Thank you all so much, truly, and from the bottom of my heart. It is because of you Bobbie will have the chance of living many more years as a spoiled little tripod kitty.
