Bobby Jensen's Logging Accident Fundraiser

On Friday, Jan 22nd Bobby Jensen was in a severe logging accident in Haines, Alaska. He was in the process of falling a tree, when it unpredictably kicked out and completely crushed his lower leg. His companion was able to call 911 and cut the tree that had him pinned the ground.
The initial injury was a shattered tib fib with two large open wounds. Bobby was airlifted to Anchorage, Alaska in hope to save his leg! Bobby underwent his first surgery on the evening of his accident and has gone through 3 others. Making 4 surgeries in less than a week's time. He is looking at undergoing 2 more surgeries in the next two months.
This GoFundMe was created to help Bobby with medical bills and the loss of an income with the inability to work over the next coming months. This will help pay for his rent, electric, heating fuel and other living expenses. Bobby is in good spirits but he understands there is a long road to recovery ahead of him. As anyone that knows Bobby Jensen, he is the first person to help anyone in need. But asking for help himself, does not come easily.
Currently, he is in Providence Hospital for the next 22 days to monitor the wounds and prevent the risk of infection. Upon discharge Bobby will stay with family in Anchorage with the goal of returning to home to Haines by early April. The doctors have suggested Bobby stay in Anchorage due to the distance of travel to Haines, as well as the risk of infection could cost him the loss of his leg! Bobby’s hometown of Haines, Alaska is in a remote location with only a small clinic for medical attention, the nearest hospital is in Juneau, Alaska which is only accessible by 20 minute flight (weather depending which is hard to come by mid winter in Southeast Alaska) or a 5 hour ferry ride.
