The great showman and friend to us all, Bobby Lamonde, has walked off the stage after his final encore. The music and comedic stage banter has gone silent. Sadly, he will not be coming out into the crowd tonight to meet all of us to talk about the show.
If you are reading this you are probably crying but with a smirk as you are remembering a special time you had with Bobby. He was always one to make you laugh whether it was with an impersonation, a story about a show he had played or just something he said with his infectious smile. He was not only an extremely talented musician but he was a treasured friend to many. He epitomized the Pittsburgh music scene for decades and served as a mentor to many up and coming musicians.
We lost Bobby last night due to a depleting immune system due to organ damage that was effected by Covid-19 at the age of 53.
His life was taken way too soon but unfortunately his immense heart and spirit was unable to beat his medical issues.
This gofundme is being organized to help pay for funeral expenses and any outstanding bills he incurred because of not being able to work during his recent illness. Please contribute what you can.
