Bobby Mayes Memorial Fund

I know there is a lot of devastation right now, with many people needing help and donations due to the recent hurricane, and most are already stretched thin. However, I, too, need to ask for help on behalf of my daughter, though for different circumstances.

My daughter Emma’s father, Bobby, died unexpectedly. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and those of you who knew him know that he faced many struggles in this life, which doesn’t make him any less deserving. However, the financial burden now falls on his young children: Brayden, 24; Emma, 18; and Breya, 10. They want to give him a service that reflects the love in their hearts and provides everyone who loved him an opportunity to say their final goodbyes, but they simply do not have the means.

Brayden and Emma, both active-duty service members, have given us all the greatest gift. They selflessly signed up to protect us all, with their own lives if need be. If their many friends and family could come together and return their kindness with whatever help they can offer in this time of need, I know they would be eternally grateful.

I know this is a lofty goal. That is the amount they would need to be able to provide a very basic service. However, if this goal is not met, they will still appreciate anything and will use whatever funds they raise to be able to offer a celebration of life.
