Hello friends my name is Derek M Giusto.I like you was a friend of Bob's.We lost Bob on July 19th where he passed away peacefully at the home he shared with his good friend Louise Ferrazzi.Anyone that knew Bob know's what a free spirit he was and he was also one of the kindest most loyal friends you could ever have.To me he was my brother.He was an eastender most of his life and in his younger years when he went to Chase school and was a boyscout at Mill Plain.For some like me in our younger years we were close like brothers and in his later chapters there were many more who felt that way too.If you were a friend of his you know and feel the impact he made in your life right to the end where he would hang out with his friends at the corner store on Congess ave. Unfortunately Bob had no insurance at all.This is the reason for setting up this go fund me page.I never ask for anything but today i am to help me and Bob's sister Patti cover his end of life expenses.We would appreciate anything you can donate.If the goal is met anything above will be donated to the St Vincent DePaul soup kitchen in Waterbury in honor of Robert Kent Schlander. There will be a church service on Aug 19 at 11am at Mill Plain union church on Southmayd rd Wtby. Bob's ashes will be spread at the ocean on Sept 16 anyone wanting to join are welcome.We can party for Bob and celebrate him.At the church please bring a copy of a picture you may have i'm making an online album to share
