We are simple working parents, spending most of our days keeping food on the table and a roof over our kids' heads. However, we also have dreams.
Our dream is to start a Hot Pepper, Hot Sauce, and Disc Golf Disc business. This may seem like a strange combination, but those are our passions and we feel strongly about each of them.
That said, starting any business requires investment of time, effort, and money. We have put in a lot of the first two... but could use a little help with the last bit. In order to make the leap from "hobbyist" to legitimate business, we need enough money to cover initial investment costs and items such as:
-Food Safety and Sanitation Management Certification (5 years) course and registration with the state
-Class B Certification (initial cost for Kitchen Inspection/Retail sale of a safely prepared food product)
- Vendor fees for the Farmer's Market
- Initial order to stock discs (at least 3 brands)
- Costs of incorporation
- Product/ingredients
- Planting, growing, and harvesting supplies
...the list goes on...and so do the costs of doing business.
We know full well that the first few years, we may break even at best. We do not consider this a "Get rich quick" scheme, nor that it will make us our million dollars, but we still feel we owe it to ourselves to try to build something to leave to future generations. Ideally, this will grow so large that one day it will be all we have to do, and Bobbygitr Hot Sauce will spread across the land. For now, we just want to get it off the ground and see what we can accomplish.
