Bobby's Stage 4 Cancer Battle

Hi, my name is Kim Nichols, a family friend of Robert Van Jagoe, Jr. affectionately known as Bobby. I am starting this Go Fund Me page to help the Jagoe family with medical expenses related to Bobby's battle with Stage 4 appendix cancer.

Bobby is a wonderful young man who is a loving father to Avram (14) and Nathaniel (5) and a loving partner to his wife Staci. His smile lights up the room when he walks in.

In December 2013, Bobby had emergency appendix surgery and a routine biopsy that resulted in a diagnosis of stage 4 appendix cancer. Since that time, he has undergone three major surgeries and the cancer has returned twice. Bobby had three chemotherapy treatments, six weeks of IV therapy at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida and two hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy treatments at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, and one radiation treatment. The recent radiation treatment did not get all of the tumor in his torso and persistent infections have taken a toll on his body.

The family has relocated to Sugarland, Texas so Bobby can receive continued care from his team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover all of his medical expenses nor home health care costs. Bobby's family will need all of the help they can get regardless of the outcome of his condition. Any amount that can be shared with the family will go a long way as they continue to fight his cancer battle.
