Royal Brothers Scholarship

LMU's Brothers of Consciousness (BOC) is fundraising to provide a scholarship for at least one student at Royal School Tema in Ghana. The BOC chaplain, Daveon Swan, traveled to Ghana in Summer 2023 with a group of LMU students to learn about and engage with the culture in Accra, Ghana. While there, he visited and learned about Royal School Tema and brought back an opportunity for us to support our brothers across the diaspora. We decided to create a scholarship to support the education of at least one male student's education at Royal School Tema. With the help of you and your community's contribution, we can fund lodging, meals, tuition, books, and materials for boys from Pre-K through ninth grade.

The Brothers of Consciousness find this cause to be important because a part of our mission statement is to empower the community through service and strive to achieve brotherhood through unity. With this scholarship project, we plan to serve our brothers across borders and contribute to the necessities they may need to effectively learn. Furthermore, committing to service & justice as well as becoming a global citizen are a part of LMU's pillars and are therefore reflected through the actions of BOC.

This scholarship is set into different tiers and each tier has a different dollar amount based on the services provided or the grade of the students that would be impacted.

At the very least if we raise $300, we can fund meals for one student of any grade, but if we raise even more we could possibly fund the Black Tier for multiple students.
