Bodhi’s Emergency Hospital Visit

Hi, my name is Andrei and my wife and I are fundraising on behalf of our sweet dog Bodhi. Yesterday Bodhi seemed sick. He wasn’t his usual happy, lazy self. Bodhi was taken to emergency care where he was diagnosed with Hemmorhagic Gastroenteritis which is bleeding of the stomach and intestines. Bodhi was losing blood from both ends and very much not having a good time. We took him home with meds and the directive to watch him for 12 hours. We stayed with him all night, watching as he continued to suffer, hoping he would turn a corner. At around 4 am it became clear to us that Bodhi was losing a lot of blood. He was bleeding from his rectum and it would not stop. He was groaning loudly, trying his best to be a trooper but it was clear things were not improving. We took him to the only dog hospital that had space for him and hoped for the best.

Bodhi is in the hospital now on IVs for dehydration, antibiotics and inflammation. He will likely be in emergency care for the next few days. We are devastated and cannot afford what is going to be a massive bill. We’ve already paid 2800 out of pocket and frankly don’t care about the money, we want our friend back, but we need your help.
