Bolle Family of Bridgewater, NJ

We are asking for your support for the Bolle family of Bridgewater, NJ. Cris and Ana have been long time residents of Bridgewater where they have raised their three children, Nick, Camila and Lucia.

Three members of their family were driving to Vermont when their car was hit by a drunk driver mid afternoon on August 22, 2023. After the accident, the family was taken to Albany Medical Center hospital in NY where Cris lost his life. Ana had to have an immediate hip replacement surgery, plus other operations to repair fractures in her arm. Lucia, an incoming Freshman at Bridgewater Raritan High School, suffered extensive injuries including a fractured skull, broken clavicle, broken arm, broken ribs, and shattered pelvis. Her doctors waited nearly a week for her brain injuries to stabilize enough to operate on her many injuries. She has many months of rehab and physical therapy ahead of her. As they mourn the loss of their beloved husband and father, Ana, Camila and Nick are staying by Lucia’s side, waiting for her condition to be considered stable enough to be transferred or released.

Cris, a native of Argentina, received his Ph.D. in physics at Instituto Balseiro and completed his post doc work at Harvard before working at Bell Labs in New Jersey. He was a brilliant scientist who holds over a dozen patents. He was also extremely skilled with his hands and enjoyed sailing. His proudest achievements were his amazing children.

Lucia is a funny, kind, and talented kid. She is well known by her peers as one of the smartest kids they know. She is a very skilled rock climber, a sport Cris introduced her to. Her great sense of humor is a source of joy for all her friends and they will certainly feel her absence as they start their freshman year without her.

The family is asking for your support as they begin the long road to recovery for Lucia; they are anxious to be able to return her to the Bridgewater area where they can draw support from their amazing community of family and friends. We humbly ask for your assistance to help alleviate the financial strain this terrible accident has placed upon their family.
