Bolt Coffee Virtual Tip Jar

Since 2012, Bolt Coffee has been a place for Providence to get coffee and be appreciated. Our mission since Day 1 has been to inspire community through generous hospitality. We all have developed friendships and lasting relationships through daily interactions at our coffee counters, and this global crisis has hit our staff hard. We thrive and are energized by interacting with people, and we can't really do that right now. 

Like communities around the world, ours has been understandably shaken these past few weeks. Our staff has been unable to work. We have all been forced to build community from a distance. But—we are still here. 

Along with most others in the service industry- our staff is out of work and trying to make ends meet for the next several weeks until we can safely open up our retail stores again. 

This fund is for our team who has worked day in and day out to bring all of themselves to work and to share that with you. We are doing everything we can to keep this business running during this uncertain time to ensure there is a workplace for our team to come back to. 

We are committing to distribute 100% of donations to each of our tipped team members during this period—hopefully this will make a dent in the many bills that are becoming due for them. Additionally, we will be contributing  to this fund each week from money collected from sales of our roasted coffee. The money collected will be administered by our fearless leader Ana Alejandre-Lara, who keeps everything running here at Bolt.  She is diligent with the details and doesn't allow anything to slip through the cracks; I'm proud to be able to lean on her ability in these turbulent times. 

Please consider contributing to this fund when you think of your normal coffee stop. It would mean a lot to our team. As soon as we are able, we’ll be welcoming you into our shops, asking you about your day, and handing over a drink made with care.
